Stunning Waterton Hall

Customised tours are our specialty

After several months of planning with these lovely ladies they arrived at Launceston airport from Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. Day 1 of this fully customised 3 day tour of Tasmania commenced with a visit to the Beautiful and picturesque Waterton Hall, not only are their gardens simply stunning and the buildings filled with convict heritage they are a fully functioning estate vineyard producing a beautiful Shiraz, Viognier, and Riesling.

After a walking talking tour of the Waterton Hall gardens our guests enjoyed several hours on the rivers edge in Waterton Hall’s very own boat shed sampling some of Tasmania’s finest produce, along with matched wines. A truly beautiful setting
Home sweet home for the next few nights. The Red Feather Inn. Located just outside Launceston in Hadspen always gets great reviews from the customers that stay here, with various accommodation options here as well as running cooking classes (which were amazing from all accounts) it is hard to find a more relaxing place to rest your head when staying in Launceston.
Day 2 was spent exploring the history of Woolmers estate, also full of convict heritage and beautiful gardens. Founded in 1817 and recognised on the World Heritage list you have several options of tours to take, escorted, self guided and convict heritage specific tours it is easy to get lost in the history and beauty. if you find yourself getting hungry why not dine in Marjorie’s restaurant.
Day 3 we headed to Hobart. On the way we called into a property currently being restored and developed into accommodation just outside of Bothwell, Bothwell is home to the oldest golf course in the Southern Hemisphere. The residence is Strasborough and once finished will be breathtaking.
Continuing on to Hobart we detoured a little and paid a visit to Prospect House in Hamilton, more history and more beautiful gardens. Being spring time the ever present hum of the bees doing their best to pollinate what the can was infectious and so incredibly relaxing, the aromas filling the gardens were a joy to experience. It would have been so easy to take a seat and just relax in the afternoon sun and soak up all that this amazing place had to offer
Cilwen House, located in Cambridge was our penultimate stop prior to taking our very happy customers on to their accommodation at Lenna of Hobart. This is another magnificent piece of history in the Tasmanian country side. It is fantastic to see so many of these houses being restored to their former glory and beyond
